The school started functioning on 1-6-1982. From 1982 to 2000 March the school was only for girl students. From 2000-2001 academic year the school also started to cater to boys. In 2006 a parallel English medium also was started at std VIII.

  • Excellence award instituted by the Mananthavadi diocese coordination committee for the performance of 2007-2008
  • The Palathulli Award instituted by Malayala Manorama Daily for water conservation activities.
  • The research conducted by the Science Club on “e plant Chembarathi in homestead  -Variety and Utility” grabbed national attention.
  • Won over all championship in Vidyarangam Kalasahithya Vedi and Samskritholsavam at sub-district level in 2008-2009
  • Over all championship in Work Experience Fest at district-level.
  • Selected as the best Mathematics Club in the district for the third consecutive year. 
  • Outstanding performance in sports.
  • Each year students won awards and scholarships for Moral Science and Catechism.
  • The Margamkali team won first prize and A grade at State Youth Fest in 2008-2009.
  • The Documentary Jeevajalam Thedi shot by the Nature Club was selected for screening in the Mikavu section at state-level.
  • Soosanna Poulose won first prize and cash award in Sugama Hindi examination in 2007-2008.  
  • Miss Sara Poulose was selected for the History Study Tour to various foreign nations in the ‘Padippura Study Tour’ organised under the joint auspices of Royal Omaniya and Malayala Manorama.
  • For the first time from the district, Sergent Nithya. C. Joseph from the school was selected to participate in the Republic Day Parade at Delhi.
